Welcome to Trade Winds Transit
We are an independently, family-owned transportation business. We have been in the transportation business since the early 50’s, when Charles Monin hauled his first load of bulk milk. Through hard work and dedication, we have grown from a single truck operation to over 60 trucks. Today, our fleet consists of 60-65 trucks, over 300 trailers, 35 refrigerated units. It was never our goal to become a big trucking company, but to provide excellent services based on the needs of our customers, we grew. Transportation Services
Trade Winds Transit offers quality truckload transportation for all its customers by providing excellent service to keep freight moving safely and on time.
Full Truckload and LTL
We offer both full truckload and less than truckload to deliver your freight. We have a few reefers and 200 + dry vans. In addition, we offer cross-docking services available at one of many warehouses.
LTL
We offer cross docking services in one of our warehouses to accommodate your needs.
24/7 Dispatch
One of our dispatchers is always available to you. We utilize weight scale ByPass / Prepass, allowing us to bypass 90% of scales and tolls. We also have scales on site.
Quality On-Time Services
We work our best to have your freight delivered on time. We take precautions to ensure your freight arrives safely. We are available any time during transit for any updates you may need.
Four Bay Repair Shop
We have certified mechanics available Monday – Friday to repair, change oil, change tires, conduct annual inspections, and other services to keep our fleet safe out on the road.
Warehouse Distribution
We offer over 1,000,000 square feet of warehouse space at multiple locations in Bardstown, KY area. We are currently looking to expand in 2026 – ’27 with a new 250,000 square foot state of the art warehouse facility.
We offer storage, handling and transportation services at all of our locations to be your full service storage solution.
